What Are Treatable Issues Using Invisalign?
By using advanced technology, Invisalign braces can treat a broad range of dental and orthodontic issues that were previously treated with traditional braces – from minor tooth movements to more complex cases.
If your dentist feels that Invisalign is the right system for you, impressions will be taken of your teeth and sent off to our laboratory where they will create your appliance. You will then be fitted with clear aligners that help to move your teeth gently into place.
Aligners are similar to a mouth guard, but as they are completely clear they are barely visible. Every two weeks, you will visit the practice for a new set of aligners. This is necessary as every aligner will be adjusted to encourage the movement of your teeth.
You will need to wear the aligners for up to 22 hours every day but can remove them for eating and cleaning.
Invisalign can be used to correct a number of orthodontic issues such as crowding, crookedness, wide gaps between the teeth, cross or under bites.
At the end of the treatment, you will be given a retainer so that you can maintain the new position of your teeth.
